Sources
Every outside source this site cites, what we use it for, and what it doesn't tell you about us.
Last reviewed: . Published by Cornelia Cove LLC.
Cove Desk is a product site, not a research publication, so this list is short: five outside sources, cited on our Terms of Service and Methodology pages. We verified each link on October 16, 2026, either directly or through the publisher's official search results when a site blocked automated checks. Citing an organization's guidance doesn't mean that organization reviewed or endorses Cove Desk.
For how the service works, read Methodology. For what you're agreeing to, read the Terms.
Text messaging guidance and registration
- CTIA, Messaging Principles and Best Practices, May 2023 (PDF). Cited for consent and opt-outs (§5.1), harmful and deceptive content (§5.3), and carrier filtering and blocking (§7). It is wireless-industry guidance; CTIA notes its consent examples are not legal advice.
- The Campaign Registry, About Us. Cited to describe A2P 10DLC registration: the registry is where messaging providers register their customers' brands and campaigns. The Campaign Registry is not presented as a Cove Desk partner.
Law
- 47 U.S.C. §227, “Restrictions on use of telephone equipment” (the Telephone Consumer Protection Act), United States Code, 2024 edition, published on GovInfo by the U.S. Government Publishing Office. Cited so you can read the official text. We don't summarize its requirements, and nothing on this site is legal advice.
AI and emergencies
- NIST AI 600-1, Artificial Intelligence Risk Management Framework: Generative Artificial Intelligence Profile, July 2024 (PDF). Cited for §2.2, “Confabulation”, which describes generative AI presenting false content confidently. It supports our statement that AI answers can be wrong.
- National 911 Program, Calling 911 (911.gov). Cited where we say Cove Desk is not an emergency service and point you to 911 for immediate help. This site blocked our automated link check on October 16, 2026; the page is listed in 911.gov's own search results at the same address.
Our own pages
Facts about Cove Desk itself, such as plans, prices, features and setup, come from Cornelia Cove LLC. They are stated on the pricing table, FAQ, Terms of Service and Privacy page. No outside party has verified them.
What isn't cited, and why
You won't find market research, missed-call statistics, surveys or competitor comparisons here, because the site doesn't make claims that would need them. If we add a figure, its source will be listed on this page.
